General Cleaning Standards and Expectations
Before the Job (Day Before or Morning Of)
Review job details (client address, notes, and any special instructions)
Plan your travel to ensure on-time arrival
While clients are expected to provide cleaning products and tools, bring gloves in case they're needed and not available at the property
Dress appropriately in uniform with a clean, professional appearance. A dark, preferably black t-shirt is suggested as part of the standard look
Arrival at the Property
Greet the client politely, introducing yourself and mentioning you're with Facility Cleaners
Politely ask the client if they have any specific requests or areas of concern for this visit
Clarify any unclear instructions in the job notes to avoid mistakes or missed tasks
Walk through the home with the client to understand the scope and expectations before starting any cleaning work
During the Job – Cleaning in Action
Clean room-by-room, top to bottom, left to right
Use appropriate products for different surfaces to avoid damage. Ask customer if not sure.
Pay attention to detail: corners, under furniture, behind items
Stay efficient—work with purpose, avoid distractions. Using of the phone is not allowed.
Follow specific client preferences when provided with feedback or checklist
Before Leaving – Final Checks
Revisit each room to double-check work
Tidy up: return moved items, organize supplies, clean tools
Take completion photos if required
Empty bins and ensure all areas look clean and refreshed
Lock windows, close doors, and secure the property if the customer is not present
Make sure any electrical equipment is off and accidentally wasn’t turned on (Oven, etc.)
After the Job
Message Facility Cleaners about the job completion and short feedback with total number of hours cleaned
Report any issues (e.g., broken item, unexpected problem)
Suggest and restock and clean your equipment needed for the next job
